A formal partnership between BMC and Espigão do Oeste’s town council has enabled and sped up the recovery of many rural roads around the communities within which BMC operates. The work done ranges from flattening, gravelling and construction to the maintenance of bridges and opening of new access roads. BMC understands that this roadwork increases the safety of its employees and all local residents.
In the past few months, BMC has repaired approximately 60 km of roads in partnership with the municipality. Just on road 108, for example, BMC has supplied 120 hours of labour by patrol machines, a hydraulic excavator, a crawler tractor, a bulldozer and trucks. The results of this partnership can also be seen on the line 6 road close to Seringal, where the company has flattened and gravelled approximately 37 km of road.
